WEDDING DAY COLLECTIONS
With each wedding package, I typically deliver around 1,000 photos. I believe in quality over quantity but also want to deliver as many good photos possible and will not hold anything hostage. Although each wedding is unique, my approach is always the same and I edit each one of my photos in a way that is consistent with the aesthetic and quality of photos you see on my website. These packages are based on my most popular combinations of add-ons. If you’re looking for a different package combination, click the link to my add-ons page below.

Albums & Prints
Your photos don’t have to be relegated to a hard drive on your computer or an album on Facebook. Nothing brings your photos to life like printing them onto a physical medium. I use professional film labs that you can access directly from your gallery to purchase a number of beautiful products. There are quite a few ways to print photos these days but nothing compares to a professional lab that won’t print your photos with roller marks or color shifting that makes your photos look muddy. These labs produce products that are heirloom quality and last for years to come. Every one of my galleries has a built in print shop where you can order a number of high quality prints such as USB thumb drive, wooden boxes, albums, canvass prints, etc.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions:
1 - Basic Questions.
-
I would describe myself as more of a photojournalistic or documentary style. I also love being intentional about working with light to give us dramatically lit photos that are more cinematic or “moody.” The last thing I want are cheesy typical photos and one of the ways we accomplish that is by getting to know our clients before their wedding day.
Something else I’ve learned after doing this for a while is that, the prettiest photos are not always the most meaningful, and the most meaningful photos are not always the prettiest. But I’m there for both of them and my absolute favorite photos are when meaningful narrative and beautiful light intersect.
-
I’ve have been taking photos for about 13 years now. As a business, I’ve officially been a full time wedding photographer for the last 13+ years.
-
I’m happy to be as involved as you want me to be! If you have a planner/coordinator I would love to work with them to plan for the best possible light and to help build a schedule that works best for how I shoot and allows for you to enjoy your wedding day without worrying about the schedule.
-
*Light* More often than not, the most beautiful photos are a product of a well built schedule that prioritizes light. An experienced photographer can get beautiful photos at anytime of day but prioritizing light means you’ll have the best light to work with on a wedding day or shoot.
Keep things tidy in getting ready spaces and relegate visual clutter to another room or corner. I try my best to crop things out but shooting in a messy space can limit the perspectives we can get.
Lastly, this your wedding day and not someone else’s. You shouldn’t feel obligated to do anything you don’t want to do and don’t be afraid to make it your own.
-
In short, I do not offer discounts. However, I know that each couple/event is unique so if you’re not seeing a package that fits your event, say hello in our inbox and we’ll get a conversation started.
3 - Questions About The Wedding Day.
-
If you want getting ready photos, I usually like to arrive about half way through the getting ready process with enough time to shoot whatever details might be ready and to get final touches on hair and makeup.
-
I want to be accommodating of everyone as much as possible, but at the end of the day, I’m there to shoot what I feel like you hired me to shoot and I defer to you. If a friend or family member has a photo request I’m happy to make that happen because I know those photos are important too. However, if it’s something that might derail the schedule or is something I know you don’t want, I will kindly move on.
Trust. If there is any friend or family member who is concerned with me or the wedding photos and has certain expectations, I would love to bring them into the fold so they can be at ease and enjoy the day.
-
I try to get through these photos as quickly as possible while not rushing so much that I miss something important. I typically shoot group photos directly after the ceremony and it usually takes us about 20 - 30 minutes depending on the number of groupings. This is because gathering people into one area is the most time consuming aspect of getting through big group photos and this is when everyone is already gathered in one spot.
I also send out a short questionnaire, where you can list of each grouping you’d like to have photos of.
-
At the end of the day I want you to have photos that are unique to you and not attempt to replicate another photographer’s work/style. I get my best photos when clients let me shoot the day as it unfolds naturally and not have expectations of us that are informed by someone else’s wedding photos.
With that being said, Pinterest boards can be great tool for communicating a vibe and feel. If you have some inspiration you want to share just know that I want to make it unique to you and your event and the kind of space we’re shooting in.
-
Shot lists almost always prove to be more of a distraction than anything. On a rare occasion there are things that I wouldn't otherwise know are taking place without a heads up but it's ultimately more important for me to be present in the moments during the day rather than babysitting a checklist of shots that I already planned on getting.
2 - Questions About The Photos.
-
I deliver images using a beautiful online gallery called Pic-time. Photos are well organized into scenes and you can order any kind of high quality print product directly from your gallery including albums, wooden keepsake boxes, standard prints, canvas prints, etc. This also makes it easy to share your photos with friends or family.
I keep galleries online for up to two years and if you want to keep it up longer, you have the option of a gallery transfer through Pic-time.
Also know that I send out promotional coupons with discounts to our print shop throughout the year.
*email me if you would like to see a full gallery*
-
For weddings, I try our best to deliver galleries within 2 months of your wedding date.
For portraits, I try to send galleries within 2-3 weeks from your shoot date.
-
For weddings I usually deliver anywhere from 600 - 1000 photos depending on how long I’m there and whether or not you get a second photographer.
On that note, I believe in quality over quantity we but also don’t want to hold anything hostage. I want to give you a well curated gallery while also giving some variety.
For portraits, I typically deliver 75 - 150 photos.
-
Just shoot me an email letting me know you’re ready to book and I’ll get the ball rollin’!
I use a “proposal” which works like an order form, contract and invoice all in one. This is where you can decide which of my services you’d like, sign a contract and view your invoice through your client portal. Once the deposit is paid, I’m your photographer!
-
I try my best to deliver sneak peaks within a few days of your wedding date. In my busy season, this may be a little longer since I’m out of town more often.
-
Almost everyone we talk to tells me that they're awkward in front of a camera. It's my goal to make you feel comfortable and to feel like yourself whether on a couples shoot or on your wedding day. My shoots are more conversational and feels more like a hangout session than a photoshoot so you don't have to worry about "posing" for the camera.
-
A first look can add a special moment in the midst of a busy day with just you and the person you’re marrying. (Almost just you. I’ll be there too.) Additionally, it changes your photo schedule to be a bit more chill. Of course, it’s absolutely fine to not want to do a first look!
-
Yes! I love traveling.
For road trips of approximately 3 - 5 hours away from Dallas: I don’t like to be too far away on the morning of a wedding so I ask for a $350 road trip fee to cover gas and hotel or airbnb for at least 2 nights.
For travel requiring a flight, hotel, and transportation, I ask for a flat $1000 fee to cover expenses.
-
Probably not, but maybe. I offer a second photographer as an add on to my packages because most weddings I shoot don't need a second photographer. If you definitely want photos of both of you getting ready and one or both of you is getting ready off-site, you might want a second. Also, it can occasionally be difficult for a single photographer to capture a large amount of details if the room is being flipped before guests descend upon the tables. However, if your schedule is planned carefully, you probably won't need a second photographer but it might help certain parts of the day go smoother.
4 - Other Questions.
We are so thrilled by the excellent job that Nicholas did on our wedding day. The pictures he took were perfect - Exactly the feel and look that we were wanting to capture our big "backyard" wedding...I would absolutely recommend him as a photographer for your wedding or engagement.
